Again for 2023, IDIC Designs, LLC and Robert Ruder are supporting the Volunteer Literacy Project as its chosen Charity for the Season of Giving. There are so many worthy causes. But what connects Rob to the Volunteer Literacy Project is the importance that words and reading played in his childhood.
A lifelong, self-starting learner, he has always ascribed the power of language as the means to which he has achieved his ambitions and goals. In a digital world, you are at such a disadvantage if you cannot read the signs on the subway walls--let alone all of your digital devices.
The power of the Volunteer Literacy Project is that it is not just focusing on teaching adults to read. It has targetted the infrastructure needed to reach the masses who need help: the tutors who actually work with the students. By teaching the teachers, we have an opportunity to grow the impact of every dollar raised.
